John Spitz, Jr.
Senior Vice President of Products and Services
Spitz serves as the Senior Vice President of Products and Services at Inovalon.
In this role, he oversees the planning,
design, strategy, maintenance, and success of Inovalon’s core product suite,
including risk-score accuracy, clinical and quality outcomes, and care
management for Medicare Advantage, Commercial, Commercial Health Insurance
Exchange (HIX) Marketplace, and managed Medicaid markets that deliver advanced
data analytics coupled with highly targeted interventions to achieve
meaningful impact in clinical and quality outcomes, utilization, and
financial performance across the healthcare landscape. Mr. Spitz also leads the
Company’s client services group, which interfaces directly with our client
partners, supporting their diversified requirements and ensuring operational
to this position, Mr. Spitz held multiple leadership roles at Inovalon. As vice
president of Products and Services he oversaw the growth, support, and
management of Inovalon products supporting Medicare Advantage, managed
Medicaid, and Commercial HIX—including risk-score-accuracy solutions CARA® and Prospective Advantage®; the data-driven
encounter-support platform, Electronic Patient Assessment Solution Suite (ePASS®);
and audit-support and risk-score-calculation solutions for RADV.
Previously Mr. Spitz served as Inovalon’s senior director of Medicare and
Medicaid Risk Adjustment where he was responsible for all operations including
product lifecycle and development, custom analytics, and the oversight of IT
operations and development.
Spitz has more than 14 years of experience in the fields of software development,
enterprise integration, and data analytics, holding a variety of senior
information technology positions. Prior to Inovalon, Mr. Spitz worked for
Constellation Energy as the director of commercial analytics and the director
of finance and operations IT. Within the commodity trading organization, Mr.
Spitz led departments responsible for the development and support of custom
software solutions and the performance of data analytics for the trading,
operations, and finance groups. Mr. Spitz previously held management positions
focusing on process improvements, analytics, and business intelligence at Enron
and American Management Systems.
Spitz received his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University
of Delaware. He has also earned the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout from the
Boy Scouts of America.
