Joseph Tkacz

Senior Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research

Joseph works closely with life sciences clients to design observational research studies, health economic evaluations, and market landscape assessments. Joseph has particular expertise in the design and execution of observational, retrospective database analyses, and his work has been published across a wide range of therapeutic areas.

Joseph has more than 15 years of experience in health outcomes and health services research spanning the academic, non-profit, and private sectors, and has authored/co-authored over 50 scholarly manuscripts in a variety of clinical and health services journals, along with over 180 conference abstracts. Joseph has received research awards from several professional societies including the International Society for Pharmacoeconomic and Outcomes Research, Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network; he is also recognized as a Certified Clinical Research Professional by the Society of Clinical Research Associates.

Prior to joining Inovalon, Joseph held the position of Principal at Avalere Health, and also served as Research Leader for IBM Watson Health. In both roles, he was responsible for leading the design and implementation of health economics, health outcomes, and epidemiological studies for life sciences clients. He also held the position of Director of Analytics for Health Analytics, LLC, where he was a principal researcher managing a portfolio of health outcomes research studies and associated analytic staff.

Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in experimental psychology.
