Senior Project Manager

<p>The Senior Project Manager (Client Delivery) is responsible for the overall delivery and execution of large-scale client projects and providing oversight to other project managers’ matrixed to those client projects.&nbsp; The incumbent will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are planned and delivered with quality and aligned to mutually agreed upon scope.&nbsp; They will develop and maintain knowledge regarding products and services of the company and follow existing processes or develop new processes for implementing those products and services.&nbsp; This role will be key to managing projects, initiating new processes and project developing teams.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The primary focus is to participate with internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of large scale specialty pharmacy software and technology projects for Inovalon clients;</li> <li>Define, plan and manage project management related activities related to the implementation and delivery of specialty pharmacy software solutions;</li> <li>Coordinate with external teams (hardware and software vendors), internal teams (Product, Development, Infrastructure Engineering, Data Center Operations, Networking, Security and Production Support) as well as with other project managers to insure that fully functional, secure solutions are delivered to clients;</li> <li>Develop and maintain a professional level of knowledge regarding project implementation, product and infrastructure deployment, and services of the company to have a business context for making decisions;</li> <li>Manage projects by defining scope, schedules, deliverables and risk plans;</li> <li>Focus on regular and timely delivery of value;</li> <li>Organize and lead project status, prepare and distribute progress reports and correct deviations from plans;</li> <li>Assist with implementing tactical improvements and project management best practices;&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop project teams by holding teams accountable for their commitments and removing roadblocks to their work;</li> <li>Manage interdependencies, leverage organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; coordinate with resource managers to insure appropriate levels of resource utilization across projects</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>8+ years of experience managing mid-to large-scale infrastructure and software development projects with customers;</li> <li>Experience managing complex software system integrations and conversions with client and 3<sup>rd</sup> party systems</li> <li>Strong leadership skills; steward change though the department as necessary focusing on a collaborative approach and buy-in with the constituents;</li> <li>Proven ability to initiate and drive projects through to completion;</li> <li>Proven success in delivering projects in a matrix resource organization;</li> <li>Confidence and ability to influence clients, team members and business partners toward common goals;</li> <li>Must possess superior oral and written communications skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues, reports, and other deliverables;</li> <li>Ability to&nbsp;quickly grasp new concepts, plan work and execute projects in a fast-paced environment;</li> <li>Ability to interface comfortably with the senior leaders to develop an understanding of needs. Must be responsive, action-oriented and able to build trust with various stakeholders;</li> <li>Project Management skills: project initiation, project plan creation, resource allocation, time/schedule management, risk management, budget tracking, prioritization, status</li> <li>Detail oriented with a high sense of accountability;</li> <li>Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS), and Team&nbsp;Foundation Server (TFS) preferred;</li> <li>Proficient ability with MS Project, Excel and Visio;</li> <li>Strong interest in and aptitude for understanding both the business and technical specifics of healthcare;</li> <li>Experience in a medium to large-size company and pharmacy/healthcare related business experience preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BA/BS Degree or equivalent is required; and</li> <li>Certified Associate in Project Management (PMI) or equivalent experience preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sedentary work ( i.e. sitting for long periods of time) Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force</li> <li>Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions</li> <li>Subject to inside environmental conditions</li> <li>May include up to 40% travel for onsite client meetings (currently suspended)</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
