Senior Project Manager, Operational Excellence

<p>The Senior Project Manager, Operational Excellence is expected to be a thought leader in efficient business practices and a change agent at all levels of the organization and will have the ability to interact with and influence senior management and key contributors. This role is responsible for leveraging operational models to define, develop, execute, manage, and track programming that will drive organizational objectives. The Senior Project Manager, Operational Excellence will analyze key business trends, identify the driver for the trends, and manage programming (projects and initiatives) that will influence the trends. This role will serve as a liaison between various stakeholder departments as part of the business leadership team and will have exposure to senior executives and will need to have proficiency in presenting findings and proposed mitigation strategies to C-level executives.</p> <h4>Responsibilities</h4> <ul> <li>Own a significant program responsible for driving and supporting identified change initiatives throughout the organization; proven program management expertise</li> <li>Working closely with internal business stakeholders, including senior Product, Operations, and Technology leaders to drive performance visibility across multiple business operations</li> <li>Manage projects by defining scope, schedules, deliverables and risk plans</li> <li>Initiate process through managing the impact of on operational processes, help with delivery planning</li> <li>Design, develop and produce weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for internal program monitoring and client reporting</li> <li>Works independently and collaboratively to complete process improvement projects with a scope covering multiple departments within the company and involving executive level sponsorship</li> <li>Champion the continuous improvement methodology in an effective manner</li> <li>Lead multi-functional teams in process improvement projects and focus on regular and timely delivery of value</li> <li>Develop, update, and validate department process flow diagrams and value stream maps</li> <li>Lead project key performance indicator metrics using statistics to make, validate and support data driven decisions</li> <li>Presents results of analysis, data models, and other projects to senior management, as requested, in a concise and professional manner</li> <li>Collaborate with business owners on data analysis and key projects</li> <li>Prepare and present monthly reporting that includes key process indicators, analysis of best opportunities for improvement, and status of improvement efforts</li> <li>Employ project management principles of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) and Lean processes to drive and manage department process improvement initiatives</li> <li>Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement</li> <li>Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position</li> <li>Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer</li> </ul> <h4>Qualifications</h4> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 10 years’ experience in roles leading process improvement and program management initiatives (healthcare/technology industry preferred)</li> <li>Demonstrated project management skills and hands-on working knowledge of the project management life cycle</li> <li>Proficient experience leading organizational change, with working knowledge of people management</li> <li>Demonstrated experience working in fast paced environments</li> <li>Ability to redefine process to increase effectiveness and use statistics to make data driven decisions</li> <li>Experience presenting and providing recommendations to leadership (verbal and written communication)</li> <li>Must be responsive, action-oriented and able to build trust with various stakeholders</li> <li>Demonstrated business analytical skills in developing process flows, spreadsheets, modeling</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite including Visio and reporting applications</li> </ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Management Information Systems preferred</li> <li>PMP certification is preferred</li> </ul> <p>Physical Demands and Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time)</li> <li>Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force</li> <li>Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions</li> <li>Subject to inside environmental conditions</li> <li>Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes</li> </ul> <p><em>Inovalon provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment.
