Join our team and help make ABILITY a great place to do great work!</p> <h4>Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like</h4> <ul> <li>You assist in the preparation of financial information for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures and financial reporting requirements</li> <li>You prepare accounting documentation, financial schedules, journal entries, reconciliations, and analytical analyses related to revenue, expense, and other accounts as needed</li> <li>You work collaboratively in preparing and presenting monthly reporting packages that include analysis of key business trends and actual versus plan variances, including comprehensive explanations of differences</li> <li>You work closely with internal business stakeholders and leaders to drive financial performance visibility across multiple business operations and perform cyclical forecasting, annual budgeting, and financial reporting</li> <li>You conduct technical accounting research for revenue recognition and non-standard transactions, develop conclusions, and formally document results</li> <li>You own processes and ensure compliance with policies and procedures and maintain compliance with a system of internal controls</li> <li>You develop, build, and produce models to enable accounting processes, forecast predictability and drive performance of results</li> <li>You collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions</li> <li>You partner and communicate with various levels throughout the organization and external parties, as necessary, to obtain information and/or resolve issues for assigned tasks, accounts and/or legal entities</li> <li>You continually improve and enhance financial processes to streamline, increase accuracy, and enhance business impact</li> <li>You maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement</li> <li>You adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position</li> <li>You fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company</li> <li>You uphold responsibilities relative to the separation of duties for applicable processes and procedures within your job function</li> </ul> <p>We reserve the right to change this job description from time to time as business needs dictate and will provide notice of such</p> <h4>This job is for you if</h4> <ul> <li>You have a bachelor’s degree or, preferably, an MBA in finance, accounting, or related field</li> <li>You are, preferably, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)</li> <li>You have a minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting and finance, including working knowledge of revenue recognition and accounting issues related to core responsibilities</li> <li>You have spent at least 5 years with analysis, reporting, and financial data modeling</li> <li>You are knowledgeable of Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis, and financial modeling</li> <li>People say you have strong interpersonal skills, effective oral and written communication skills</li> <li>You have demonstrated knowledge of GAAP</li> <li>You, preferably, are experienced in public accounting or publicly traded companies</li> <li>You, preferably, are experienced with Oracle EBS and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains</li> <li>You are comfortable with sedentary work</li> <li>You can exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or negligible amount of force</li> <li>You can frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects</li> <li>You are comfortable with inside environmental conditions</li> <li>You can travel for this position</li> </ul> <p><em>ABILITY Network is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
