<p>This role will require someone to be local to able to come onsite to our Bowie, Maryland office as needed.&nbsp;</p> <p>The Healthcare Data Analytic Specialist is primarily responsible for developing and applying statistical theory and methods to collect, interpret, analyze, transform, and present complex clinical and healthcare data for use in customer reporting, product research and development, and other ad-hoc analytics.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Determine project plans, timelines, and/or technical objectives for statistical aspects of healthcare data analytic processes, applying valid statistical techniques and using information obtained from baselines or historical data to structure uncompromised and efficient analyses.</li> <li>Evaluate and maintain healthcare databases comprised of data from a variety of sources, such as clinical and health data contained in electronic health records and publically-reported quality measurement and reimbursement data and adjusting and weighting the raw data.</li> <li>Prepare data for processing and plan and design data integration strategies by evaluating clinical and healthcare data to determine any reliability or usability limitations and checking for inaccuracies.</li> <li>Develop, execute and reconcile requirements for data mapping and data loading processes, develop intuitive designs, and build enterprise interactive dashboards with built in guided healthcare data analytics.</li> <li>Evaluate data to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy and perform complex and detailed statistical analyses and modeling of clinical and operational data with clear, relevant outputs.</li> <li>Analyze data using statistical analysis and visualization software (g. SAS, R, SPSS, Stata, SQL or Tableau) to apply statistical approaches such as opportunity analyses, risk adjustment and predictive modeling, program evaluation studies, probability and inference, longitudinal analysis, mixed effect modeling, logistic regression analyses, and model building techniques.</li> <li>Perform trend analysis to identify and research anomalies and outliers in the data.</li> <li>Identify problem areas related to healthcare quality, risk adjustment, and/or clinical performance and recommend solutions.</li> <li>Write detailed analysis plans and descriptions of analyses and recommendations, including preparing data visualizations in the form of dashboards, charts, and/or graphs.</li> <li>Present the results of this data analysis to management, product development, operations and technology teams, and other internal stakeholders.</li> <li>Prepare statistical data for inclusion in reports to senior management, state or federal regulatory agencies, accrediting agencies, and clients.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Critical Skills:</strong></p> <p>quantitative, statistical, and biostatistical data analysis methodology and theory (e.g. opportunity analyses, risk adjustment and predictive modeling, program evaluation studies, probability and inference, longitudinal analysis, mixed effect modeling, logistic regression analyses, and model building techniques), algorithm design, &nbsp;interactive reporting, data visualization and modeling, data science, database systems, trend and root cause analysis, computer and neural networks, data structures, programming languages, logic design, data mining ,Microsoft technologies (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio),&nbsp; and statistical analysis, data mining, and visualization software (e.g. SAS, R, SPSS, Stata, SQL, SSRS, SQL Server, Minitab, and/or Tableau)</p> <p><strong>Specialized Knowledge:</strong></p> <p>complex analytical algorithms, utilizing complex statistical tools and methodologies to analyze complex clinical and healthcare data, classifying, processing, integrating and storing data, and communicating findings through data visualizations and statistical reporting</p> <p><strong>Role Summary:</strong></p> <p>conduct detailed, complex statistical analysis that informs and shapes the development of customer reporting, product research and development, and other ad-hoc analytics</p> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or related field;</li> <li>Experience conducting statistical analyses and data mining using tools, such as SPSS, SAS, Stata, or Minitab;</li> <li>Experience with data management and visualization tools, such as SQL and&nbsp;Tableau;</li> <li>Possession of strong analytical / statistical skills used in evaluating and analyzing data;</li> <li>Strong organization skills and attention to details, comfortable working with minimum direction;</li> <li>Adaptable to changing organizational requirements and priorities and supportive of a diverse work force;</li> <li>Ability to collaborate with others in diplomatic, tactful manner, while exercising sensitivity and discretion as needed;</li> <li>Advanced PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and other programs); and</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field of study;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sedentary work ( i.e. sitting for long periods of time) Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force</li> <li>Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions</li> <li>Subject to inside environmental conditions</li> <li>Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>By embracing diversity, equity and inclusion we enhance our work environment and drive business success.
