For more information, visit, or follow us on Twitter @avalerehealth.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Avalere Health is seeking an <strong>Associate Principal</strong> to join its Center for Healthcare Transformation. This team of experts works to enable next-generation healthcare delivery through quality, innovation and payment reform. We work with every sector of the healthcare industry to help them prepare for – and succeed in – the evolving payment and delivery system. This role will be client facing and include opportunities for project management and execution. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability and interest in supporting business development activities across a wide range of clients to secure new work</p> <p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and secure business around health plan strategy and operations, as well as value-based care (e.g., APMs) delivery innovation in Medicare fee-for-service, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid/Exchanges</li> <li>Leverage internal and external data sets to grow business, with focus on claims-based analytics</li> <li>Conceptualize scope and approach for individual projects based on client needs</li> <li>Execute 3 – 4 projects at any given time by assembling a cross-functional team, and oversee the team from project initiation through to client delivery</li> <li>Stay engaged on larger healthcare trends, anticipate the needs of clients based on these trends, and think strategically about how these trends will impact the larger healthcare industry</li> <li>Solve complex client issues in a timely and appropriate manner with minimal management oversight and attention to resources</li> <li>Direct project engagement, oversee development and quality of deliverables, ensure project completion on time and on budget</li> <li>Mentor, supervise, and train staff members within the Practice and across the firm</li> <li>Establish a national presence through demonstrated thought leadership to generate public recognition for Avalere that results in new business and revenue generation</li> <li>Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;</li> <li>Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position;</li> <li>Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company;</li> <li>Uphold responsibilities relative to the separation of duties for applicable processes and procedures within your job function; and</li> <li>We reserve the right to change this job description from time to time as business needs dictate and will provide notice of such.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills, Experience, and Other Job-Related Requirements</strong>:</p> <p><em>Skill Requirements:<br></em></p> <ul> <li>Business development, specifically in the provider and plan space (understands intersection between providers and plans)</li> <li>Responsibility for project oversight, budget management, deliverables, client relationships, and staff supervision</li> <li>Responsibility for driving business development with specific sales targets</li> <li>Experience with Medicaid/Medicare claims data (highly preferred)</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication</li> <li>Strong facilitation skills with multidisciplinary groups</li> <li>Ability to work independently</li> </ul> <p><em>Experience Requirements:</em></p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in business administration, public health, public policy, health services administration, ethics, or related field of study</li> <li>7-10 years of healthcare consulting; experience working with health plans and/or providers preferred</li> <li>5+ year of demonstrated experience in business development and managing large-scale projects and healthcare policy</li> <li>5+ years of experience managing a team</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>By embracing diversity, equity and inclusion we enhance our work environment and drive business success.
