Senior Business Analyst

<p><strong>Overview: </strong>&nbsp;The Senior Business Analyst&nbsp;is responsible for analyzing and improving operational processes associated with onboarding and supporting customers.&nbsp; This role will work closely with the operations team to understand their needs as well as the engineering team to develop requirements and throughout the software development cycle.&nbsp; This person has prior experience with software-as-a-service (SAAS) distribution models.&nbsp; The Senior Business Analysis will become the go-to subject matter expert on implementing and supporting the product(s).</p> <p>&nbsp;<strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop detailed business requirements that meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders and support corporate objectives;</li> <li>Collaborate with operations teams to document, understand and analyze operational processes; make recommendations to improve efficiency and measure the results of those efforts;</li> <li>Analyze the current system or application, conceptualize and define operational problems, model and present recommended enhancements and modifications, and walk each new enhancement or modification through the development process, from planning and preparation to testing and implementation;</li> <li>Develop and define data and project requirements, applying judgement, statistical tests, and data analysis as required;</li> <li>Perform validation and testing of solutions through managing and executing user acceptance plans, collaborating with the development team during user testing and complex validation sessions, and responding to technical and functional product questions raised by stakeholders, and reformulate solutions as necessary to ensure that the recommended solution is responsive to the data requirements;</li> <li>Analyze the impact of a proposed solution on connected processes, systems, and/or applications to determine the best course of action to achieve the desired outcome;</li> <li>Manage projects associated with operational process improvement;</li> <li>Assist in the development of road maps and business strategy for assigned product or department;</li> <li>Act as the go-to resource to the rest of the organization on operational process improvement;</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple sets of analysis and requirement elicitation projects; and</li> <li>Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;</li> <li>Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and</li> <li>Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 5 years of experience with a exposure to SAAS products as a business analyst or related role;</li> <li>Minimum of 2 year of experience in healthcare required and/or specialty pharmacy highly preferred related environment</li> <li>Possess SQL skills required</li> <li>Crystal Reports skills preferred</li> <li>Extensive experience documenting processes in tools such as Microsoft Visio;</li> <li>Experience working with business stakeholders to inform define application strategies &amp; roadmaps;</li> <li>Agile / SCRUM experience preferred;</li> <li>Full SDLC experience preferred;</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills;</li> <li>High level of honesty, respect, dependability and flexibility;</li> <li>Experience in fast-paced and rapidly growing environment;</li> <li>Strong business acumen;</li> <li>Process oriented, structured thinker with an attention to detail that enables them to solve problems independently while collaborating across the organization; and</li> <li>Must be comfortable gathering feedback from internal and external stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p><strong><br>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS or equivalent work experience.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time);</li> <li>Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;</li> <li>Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;</li> <li>Subject to inside environmental conditions; and</li> <li>Travel for this position will include up to 10%.</li> </ul> <p><em><strong>This role is not available for sponsorship at this time. </strong></em></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>By embracing diversity, equity and inclusion we enhance our work environment and drive business success.
