<p><strong>The role will have some work from home flexibility however, the selected candidate must be within a commutable distance to any Inovalon office&nbsp;</strong><strong>(Phoenix, AZ preferred; Bowie, MD preferred; Washington, DC preferred; Nashville, TN preferred; Boston, MA; Minneapolis, MN; Pittsburg, PA or Tampa, FL).</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Senior Employee Relations Advisor leads the delivery and optimization of proactive and reactive interventions in response to the full spectrum of labor relations and workplace matters which impact the Company's multi-entity workforce. &nbsp;Additionally, the Senior Employee Relations Advisor serves as a coach/mentor to the Human Resources team on best practices in employee relations policy, compliance, documentation, reporting, and investigations.</p> <p>Partnering with the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) team, HR Leadership team, and Legal and Compliance team, the Senior Employee Relations Advisor plays a central role within the HR function. The position impacts the organization's success by providing informed guidance on confidential, complex, and sensitive employee behavioral or performance issues.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Function as the central point of contact and subject matter expert for all employee relations matters;</li> <li>Provide guidance to HRBPs on performance management issues, FMLA, disability, claims of unfair treatment, discrimination, or harassment.</li> <li>Partner with managers and supervisors to address and resolve employee behavioral and performance issues per Company policy;</li> <li>Manage and conduct investigations arising from employee complaints or reports of employee misconduct;</li> <li>In partnership with the HR team, lead investigations for employee relations concerns, including complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other work-related concerns and propose remedial action based on investigation findings;</li> <li>Independently manage assigned casework, bringing investigations to closure rapidly and definitively, ensure highly accurate documentation and recordkeeping;</li> <li>Advise managers and supervisors on the most appropriate progressive performance management tool to use in each circumstance;</li> <li>Guide, coach, or mentor as needed to ensure all Corrective Actions, Performance Improvement Plans, Warnings, Individual Development Plans, and related documentation are completed thoroughly, accurately and timely;</li> <li>Analyze complaint trends to produce strategic, proactive recommendations to the HRBPs, , and the business to address and mitigate systemic issues proactively and address areas of inconsistency and/or opportunities for improvement.</li> <li>Partner with the HRBP team to analyze and review all people programs, policies, and practices to build and maintain a positive work environment for Inovalon associates;</li> <li>Build and maintain a strong partnership with the Legal and Compliance team in support of assessing and mitigating legal, compliance, regulatory and reputational risk;</li> <li>Facilitate impartial and objective conflict resolution and mediation interventions in response to employee concerns/complaints;</li> <li>Leverage survey data, interviews, and other studies to research human resource policies, compensation, and other employment issues. After analyzing all data and information, make recommendations on changes and independently design, facilitate and scale manager training;</li> <li>Maintain awareness of changes to employment law and train business leaders and other stakeholders on any implications of said changes;</li> <li>Design, develop and implement training presentations and material as needed;</li> <li>Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement;</li> <li>Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and</li> <li>Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 8 years of human resources experience, inclusive of at least 5 years of progressively more advanced employee relations experience and hands-on investigations experience;</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of US employment law and regulation, employee relations best practices and HR compliance requirements;</li> <li>Experience managing investigations, disciplinary actions and non-routine termination actions;</li> <li>Sound knowledge of current employment and workplace legislation;</li> <li>Intermediate or higher skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel;</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills;</li> <li>Highly organized, detail orientated and results-driven follow-up and follow-through abilities;</li> <li>Sound judgment, discretion and strong problem-solving and analytical skills; and</li> <li>Willingness to do the hands-on work.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Formal education and training or relevant work experience aligned to Labor and Employee Relations, Employment Law, HR administration, and business support;</li> <li>Bachelor's degree is preferred; and</li> <li>PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods);</li> <li>Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force;</li> <li>Subject to indoor and outdoor environmental conditions; and</li> <li>Travel up to 20%, typically for training or other business needs.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>By embracing diversity, equity and inclusion we enhance our work environment and drive business success.
