Through events, publications, and interactive programs, Avalere insights are accessible to a broad range of customers.</p> <h4>Responsibilities</h4> <ul> <li>Lead health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) projects that utilize various standard methodologies, e.g., retrospective claims database analysis, pharmacoeconomic modeling, evidence generation strategies. Required activities include leading cross functional teams to execute on statements of work, interpret results, summarize findings, and advise on strategy</li> <li>Serve as a principal HEOR subject matter expert within the team and across the firm</li> <li>Take a leadership role in generation of business with new clients and grows business with existing clients, leveraging a network of personal contacts where applicable (working closely with Avalere’s sales/BD team)</li> <li>Use superior consulting acumen to identify client gaps and opportunities</li> <li>Responsible for driving team goal achievement around sales, revenue and project management</li> <li>Collaborate with clients to develop and implement strategic and tactical plans</li> <li>Take responsibility for project completion; responsible for strategic consultation and for the use of best methods to address research needs</li> <li>Responsible for or manages other project staff in project delivery, particularly client communication, client management and dissemination</li> <li>Responsible for all final deliverables for projects on which s/he is senior expert in terms of accuracy and quality and financial project performance</li> <li>Solve complex client issues in a timely and appropriate manner</li> <li>Assist in HEAA practice management</li> <li>Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement</li> <li>Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position</li> <li>Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company</li> <li>Uphold responsibilities relative to the separation of duties for applicable processes and procedures within your job function</li> </ul> <p>We reserve the right to change this job description from time to time as business needs dictate and will provide notice of such</p> <h4>Skills, Experience, and Other Job-Related Requirements</h4> <p><em>Education Requirements</em></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or PhD, in HEOR, pharmaco-economics, health policy, public policy, healthcare management, public health, public administration, health economics, business administration, law, or a relevant discipline</li> </ul> <p><em>Experience Requirements</em></p> <ul> <li>8+ years of relevant work experience within the healthcare industry is required</li> <li>5+ years’ experience successfully leading teams to sales and revenue goal attainment</li> <li>Experience in project management and leadership, including taking responsibility for budgets, adherence to timelines and client engagement</li> <li>Experience analyzing research and conveying findings into vehicles for internal/external distribution</li> </ul> <p><em>Skills/Knowledge Requirements</em></p> <ul> <li>Deep expertise in HEOR methodologies, e.g., retrospective claims analysis/observational research, pharmacoeconomic modeling, etc.</li> <li>Outstanding problem-solving and analytic skills with the ability to apply knowledge outside of one’s immediate functional area</li> <li>Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to concisely explain complicated concepts to executives within and outside of the firm</li> </ul> <p><em>Physical Demands and Work Environment</em></p> <ul> <li>Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time)</li> <li>Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force</li> <li>Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions</li> <li>Subject to inside environmental conditions</li> <li>Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes</li> </ul> <p><em>Avalere Health is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
