Sr Manager or Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

<p>Inovalon is seeking a hands-on, analytical, and meticulously organized Sr Manager or Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.&nbsp; The candidate will serve as a vital thought partner, change champion, and driver of increased profitability.&nbsp; The candidate will provide analysis, clear financial reporting, and leadership within the Pharmacy business unit as well as other leaders across the company to identify, evaluate, and realize opportunities for increased revenue and profitability.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Acting as liaison between Finance and Leaders across various Inovalon organizations.&nbsp; Providing monthly detailed financial reporting and explanation of underlying revenue and profitability drivers to facilitate informed business decision-making;</li> <li>Acting as liaison between&nbsp;Finance and Inovalon operating teams (including but not limited&nbsp;to Sales, Product, CSO, and Engineering), responsible for monthly financial reporting, explanation of revenue and cost drivers, and budgeting and forecasting;</li> <li>Conducting consolidated monthly financial reporting and analysis, as well as efficient and accurate budgeting and forecasting;</li> <li>Drive the tracking and modeling of customer contract revenue and obligations to ensure compliance and maximum revenue;</li> <li>Participate in the sales process through direct customer interactions, review and approvals of pricing, proposals, contracting, etc. for both process compliance and revenue maximization;</li> <li>Using financial and operational analyses to increase transparency and drive better understanding of real versus perceived business drivers.&nbsp; Influencing business decisions by challenging status quo assumptions and processes, and using data and analysis to drive business decisions that will improve Inovalon profitability;</li> <li>Promoting a culture of increased cross-functional communication between operating and finance teams to eliminate communications gaps and strengthen financial transparency, understanding, and discipline across the&nbsp;organization;</li> <li>Acting as an agent of&nbsp;business transformation.&nbsp; Identifying opportunities, developing&nbsp;solutions, and implementing new or improved business processes.&nbsp; For&nbsp;example, identifying opportunities to leverage existing technology to automate and streamline processes;</li> <li>Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures, and mission statement;</li> <li>Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and</li> <li>Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.</li> </ul> <p><strong>**This position is posted as a job family and the selected candidate will be placed into the job level commensurate with their experience**</strong></p> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 8-10 years of related experience (health care software technology industry experience preferred). Demonstrated understanding of accounting and finance practices and principles, as well as experience in dealing with budgets, forecasts, financial reports, pricing, and operational issues;&nbsp;</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing, coaching, and guiding a finance team in a matrixed organization;</li> <li>Extensive background in accounting principles sufficient to interpret business activity into financial accounting results as well as guidance to finance team members as needed;</li> <li>Excellent working knowledge of revenue recognition principles, especially in software and technology arrangements;</li> <li>Experience with reading, interpreting, and modifying customer contracts for financial, operational and risk mitigation purposes</li> <li>Experience with project-based accounting and the use of accounting software, especially Oracle Fusion</li> <li>Extensive experience and advanced skills using Hyperion Planning and Smart View</li> <li>Evidence of strong leadership&nbsp;presence and ability to present to, and influence, executive&nbsp;decision-makers;</li> <li>Ability to influence all levels of staff across different functional areas;&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent analytical skills&nbsp;and the ability to understand the Company's products and processes;&nbsp;</li> <li>Work under minimal&nbsp;supervision on complex projects. Manage multiple high priority&nbsp;deadlines efficiently while delivering on goals;&nbsp;</li> <li>Superior and efficient use of Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.&nbsp;Experience building strategic business models; and&nbsp;</li> <li>Meticulous organizational skills, strong customer focus, and flexibility to adapt to rapidly&nbsp;changing business needs.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in&nbsp;accounting, finance, or related field; and</li> <li>CPA and/or MBA preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time);</li> <li>Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;</li> <li>Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;</li> <li>Subject to inside environmental conditions; and</li> <li>Travel for this position will include less than 10% usually for meetings and training purposes.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>By embracing diversity, equity and inclusion we enhance our work environment and drive business success.
