Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer

<p>The Development Operations Engineer will strive to advance our “Automate Everything” program.&nbsp; This role will drive the implementation of our no touch CI/CD pipeline through design, and construction, and implementation.&nbsp; Additionally this role will mentor junior staff on the CICD pipeline.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Seek opportunities to automate CI/CD pipeline and remove waste;</li> <li>Provide emergency support as necessary, including after-hours;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Linux using Automation and Configuration systems;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Nice to Have: Use build and release automation tools (Artifactory, Chef, Docker, DynamoDB, Elastic Load Balancers, GIT, Jenkins, Kracken, Kubernetes, Lambda, Maven, MSBuild, and VMware) to deliver timely builds and deployments to development, integration and user testing labs;</li> <li>Automate deployments using PowerShell or other tools for command line scripting;</li> <li>Contribute to the toolset vision for the configuration and automated deployment;</li> <li>Work with development, QA, product management, and production Ops teams to deliver on-time and high-quality deployment;</li> <li>Deploy and automate infrastructure/applications in on-prem and cloud environments;</li> <li>Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;</li> <li>Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and</li> <li>Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated track record of DevOps working on on-prem, AWS; and Azure;</li> <li>Experience in AWS services S3, EC2, ECS, EBS, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, as well as ELK Stack frameworks;</li> <li>Deep understanding of Development Operations culture and methodology, continuous integration and delivery through automation;</li> <li>Understand all the dependencies related to the build, seek solutions, follow processes (can be manual in the beginning) to ensure delivery;</li> <li>Experience automating from code commit to QA and Prod while employing BVT’s, Blue/Green, Canary approaches, etc.;</li> <li>Understanding 6C’s of Development Operations and ability to contribute to all of those areas;</li> <li>Experience in AWS services S3, EC2, ECS, EBS, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, as well as ELK Stack frameworks;</li> <li>Knowledge of Linux OS;</li> <li>Understand all the dependencies related to the build, seek solutions, follow processes (can be manual in the beginning) to ensure delivery;</li> <li>Experience automating from code commit to QA and Prod while employing BVT’s, Blue/Green, Canary approaches, etc.; and</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field; and</li> <li>4+ years of experience in Build and Release engineering, scripting and automation in a Unix and Windows environment.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sedentary work ( i.e. sitting for long periods of time) Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;</li> <li>Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;</li> <li>Subject to inside environmental conditions; and</li> <li>Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>By embracing diversity, equity and inclusion we enhance our work environment and drive business success.
