Sales Director - Payer West

<p>Inovalon has a pivotal role within our business development group focused on client development and new business opportunities. Our West Region Sales Leader for the Payer business will provide high level support to the company’s essential client initiatives and will serve as a key driver in relationship-building activities. The Regional Vice President, Business Development will have a proven and successful track record in the highly competitive healthcare information technology space and will serve as the catalyst to producing tangible contributions that lead to Inovalon achieving our strategic initiatives and goals. This role will be relied upon to implement an effective sales model and strategy, leveraging the current business development team to achieve agreed upon sales goals.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong><br>• Regionally assigned and responsible for creating and cultivating senior level relationships across MCO and shared savings clients/prospects through their own personal network, state/regional health plan association meetings, legislative contacts, local consulting organizations, and lobby relationships;<br>• Lead and be ultimately responsible for the execution of business development and ongoing client business expansion;<br>• Serve as a local contact for current clients that can be supportive of client relationship development;<br>• Ensure progression of their assigned opportunities to ensure progression of proposal materials (pricing, slideware, administrative support) are driven timely;<br>• Develop and maintain an expert level of knowledge regarding all products, services, infrastructure, and operations of the Company to achieve optimal insight into the Company’s product development, capabilities, support, and functionality requirements;<br>• Drive &amp; close selling opportunities in strategic clients;<br>• Aggressively pursue and close new business;<br>• Develop client relationships and ensure the Company’s value is both achieved and conveyed properly; and<br>• Conduct live product demonstrations over the phone, via webinar and face to face leveraging sales support team; and - Forecasting sales activity and revenue.<br>• Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;<br>• Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position;<br>• Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company;<br>• Uphold responsibilities relative to the separation of duties for applicable processes and procedures within your job function; and<br>• We reserve the right to change this job description from time to time as business needs dictate and will provide notice of such.</p> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong><br>• 7+ years sales experience as an individual contributor in a business development role &amp; 3+ as a people leader for a Sales Team.<br>• Executive presence for messaging to C-level contacts;<br>• Experience selling into the business to business (B2B) market in the healthcare market;<br>• Proven track record in meeting/exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals;<br>• Ability to accurately forecast monthly, quarterly and annual account opportunity and revenue streams; and<br>• Strong and demonstrated written, verbal, phone and presentation skills.</p> <p><strong>Education:</strong><br>• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.</p> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong><br>• Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time);<br>• Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;<br>• Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;<br>• Subject to inside environmental conditions; and<br>• Travel for this position will be as needed and could be 50% or more at times</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>By embracing diversity, equity and inclusion we enhance our work environment and drive business success.
