Senior Director OR Director, Solutions Engineering (Data Licensing)

<p>The Senior Director of System Engineers for Inovalon Insights is responsible for providing innovative solutions alignment with Data Licensing strategies and goals. This position is accountable for providing technical leadership and vision in the ways in which Inovalon Insights licenses healthcare data and data-related offerings to life sciences companies, pharma companies and other targeted third parties.&nbsp; Inovalon has one of the largest, healthcare datasets in the industry.&nbsp; We are a go-to partner for healthcare organizations working to improve quality outcomes, value based contracting or seeking to gain real time market insights on the populations they serve.&nbsp; Drive clear and quantifiable benefits to your clients by providing them one of the most unique primary source datasets in the industry.</p> <p>The Senior Director of System Engineers is responsible for leading pre-sales activities to provide industry expertise, technical support and present technical solutions that result in gaining and retaining clients. This role interacts with clients to execute the technical aspects of the sales strategy by developing and building technical relationships. The major function of the role is to work with the business customers and improve product knowledge and define, design, and deliver consistent solutions. &nbsp;&nbsp;The Senior Director of System Engineers manages the pre-sales technical team within Inovalon Insights.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Participates and leads client meetings in person and via the phone. Prepares complex level technical proposals and presentations;</li> <li>Understands the clients and offer business solutions in order to clarify the strategic fit of the data-related solutions into their environment;</li> <li>Query the data set to ensure applicability and pattern determination. Run patient accounts for different codes to demonstrate solution effectiveness;</li> <li>Provides broad scope responses to client and industry questions;</li> <li>Evaluate client needs and requirements and illustrate how company data-related solutions provide value and support to the client’s organization;</li> <li>Advises clients and sales on technical aspects of company solutions including fit to client’s needs, features, availability;</li> <li>Acts as a client advocate as necessary for pre-sales activities and minimal post-sales activities;</li> <li>Product Enhancements: <ul> <li>Requirements gathering and clarification: <ul> <li>Customer reviews and requirements gathering sessions;</li> <li>Collaboration with Business Unit resources for requirements definition;</li> </ul> </li> <li>Product Issue Resolution: <ul> <li>Customer review and clarification of critical product issues;</li> <li>Critical issue identification, definition, and troubleshooting;</li> <li>Critical issue solution development;</li> <li>Knowledge transfer to resolve critical issues;</li> <li>Review of product enhancements requests;</li> <li>Support of Customer User Acceptance Testing;</li> </ul> </li> <li>Provides process improvement training to internal partners and engage in internal feedback loop to product and licensing leadership teams on client experience, product features/functionality, and service implementation management;</li> <li>Responsible for managing, coaching, mentoring, and deploying Data License solution architects and engineers;</li> <li>Responsible for answering functionality, integration, and usage, and pre-sales support concerns;</li> <li>Maintain compliance with Inovalon’ s policies, procedures, and mission statement;</li> <li>Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’ s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and</li> <li>Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years of direct management experience in healthcare data licensing, with a proven track record of achieving revenue goals and KPI’s;</li> <li>Minimum 5+ years of progressive system engineering experience in healthcare data licensing;</li> <li>Experience managing groups of three (3) people or more; proven track record of developing and promoting associates;</li> <li>Strong technical background that exhibits both breadth and depth is important, as is the ability to effectively communicate and share that knowledge both orally and in writing;</li> <li>Experience in or knowledge of the healthcare industry, especially life sciences, pharma or data vendor is a plus;</li> <li>Work effectively, and collegially, within a management team. Must be adept at working with diverse populations and be able to communicate effectively with different levels of technical and professional expertise;</li> <li>Increasing responsibilities preferably in a public company;</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of broad range of technology platforms, systems and tools;</li> <li>Must have the ability to build relationships and have a proactive communication style ensuring timely status of projects to team and clients. Must be able to extract hidden or unrealized client requirements and gain consensus;</li> <li>Ability to focus extract ambiguous client needs into specific, deliverable requirements and gain consensus. Able to develop relationships and communicate with high level client technical staff and management;</li> <li>Must be able to work through complex issues with a methodical approach;</li> <li>Expert ability to graphically depict solutions in a compelling manner;</li> <li>Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must be detail oriented.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Must be available to travel routinely to client sites.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical or related field;</li> <li>Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting healthcare data analytics or healthcare data licensing.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time);</li> <li>Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;</li> <li>Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;</li> <li>Subject to inside environmental conditions; and</li> <li>Travel for this position is approximately 40%.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>By embracing diversity, equity and inclusion we enhance our work environment and drive business success.
