Inovalon's unique achievement of value is delivered through the effective progression of Turning Data into Insight, and Insight into Action.</span></p> <p style="margin: 0in;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0in;"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif;">Inovalon Inc., seeks Senior Principal Software Architect for one opening</span></p> </div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Location: Canonsburg, PA</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Summary of Duties: Provides technical leadership to engineering organization to evolve and modernize existing suite of technologies and solutions to provide best in class experiences for our customers and to scale our solutions along with a rapidly growing business. Makes contributions to software architecture, technical direction of product development, technical evaluation of external products, and the development and application of software engineering principles and processes that meet industry standards and applicable regulations. Gathers high-level requirements and vision from stakeholders and performs critical analysis of the products feature set; develop proposed architecture and technical requirements to achieve the desired solution. Conducts architectural and design reviews for a product or subsystem. Contributes to and drives technical scoping process for software releases. Creates robust and scalable product designs that meet customer requirements and are extensible and anticipate future product needs. Identifies product dependencies and risks early, and specifies appropriate mitigation. Timely dependency determination allows teams to make effective adjustments to designs and schedules. Anticipates the key architectural issues in the planning phase for a product. Presents architecture and design for solutions to the Architectural Review Board through the technical scoping process; communicate the plan to achieve the vision clearly. Recognizes patterns of defects and drives design improvements that are adopted across the product line. Fully understands the customer experience and drives product improvements in architecture, design and implementation methods to improve the experience. Establishes and communicates best practices for architecture, design and development methods across product teams and business groups. Works without supervision on the most complex projects and complete latitude for independent judgment. Acts as a mentor to team members and aid in adherence to established coding techniques and standards. Actively participates in the dissemination of information and education of staff through formal and informal presentations and training events. Mentors and guides junior and senior developers on tactics and approaches for architectural design, user interface design, dependency management, and software development.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study plus at least 8 years of experience in the job offered or at least 8 years of experience in an IT-related role. All applicants must have at least 8 years of experience (1) .NET or Java technologies; (2) implementing web services using microservices architecture; (3) troubleshooting and resolving issues during all phases of the product development life cycle; (4) web technologies, relational databases, and multi-tier applications is expected; (5) SOA design patterns such as Event-driven architecture, Complex Event Processing, In-Memory Caching, Canonical Data Modeling, or Model-View-Controller; (6) developing and designing one or more Relational and Non-Relational DB technologies such as Oracle or SQL Server, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Hive, or HBase; (7) Enterprise level applications; (8) Commercial Cloud Architectures such as Azure; (9) analysis, design, and programming in a multi-product software development organization; and (10) Agile development methodologies including unit testing, test-driven development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Pair Programming, and Automated Testing.&nbsp;</div> <p><em>This role is not available for sponsorship at this time.</em></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>By embracing diversity, equity and inclusion we enhance our work environment and drive business success.
