Senior Compliance Specialist

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: No travel required
<p>The Senior Compliance Specialist will be responsible for managing SOX processes and controls, internal and external audits and providing quality control for various systems as well as being responsible for HR policy management. In this role, understanding data flow and data integrity is key.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Participate in routine internal and external audits (i.e. SOX/HiTrust), acting as the main point of contact for internal audit, and any external groups, organizations or government agencies</li> <li>Audit data across multiple systems (i.e. Oracle, ADP) to ensure accuracy between systems and 3rd party vendors</li> <li>Partner with the HR, Legal and Security functions to determine key metrics, target audience(s), frequency, and deployment for compliance and policy activities</li> <li>Manage any compliance-related remediation efforts as a result of audit outcomes</li> <li>Assist with documenting and updating SOPs and process flows.</li> <li>Seek ways to create more efficient processes, in collaboration with cross functional teams</li> <li>Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement</li> <li>Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position</li> <li>Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, or in a related field</li> <li>Minimum of five (5) yeas of Compliance experience with a background in human resources highly preferred</li> <li>Effective communication and project management skills to implement consistent and compliant processes across the organization</li> <li>Strong follow-through focusing on results and managing barriers to execution;</li> <li>Ability to influence without authority and a self-starter. Able to garner respect and trust from peers in a collaborative manner</li> <li>Strong Excel and data analysis skills</li> <li>Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, plan work and execute projects in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Able to work consultatively and cross-functionally to identify and implement processes and improvements</li> <li>Strong interest in and aptitude for understanding both the business and technical specifics of healthcare</li> <li>Detail-oriented with a high sense of accountability and ability to balance competing priorities and flexibility to reprioritize when appropriate</li> <li>Experience in a medium to large-size company and healthcare/technology, related business experience preferred</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BA/BS Degree or equivalent is required; and</li> <li>SHRM, or HRCI or equivalent experience is preferred.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time);</li> <li>Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;</li> <li>Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;</li> <li>Subject to inside environmental conditions; and</li> <li>Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.</li> </ul> <p>#LI-REMOTE</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>By embracing diversity, equity and inclusion we enhance our work environment and drive business success.
