Senior Director, Corporate Communications

<p>The Senor Director, Corporate Communications will lead the development and execution of Inovalon’s communications strategy with the intent of advancing the understanding, awareness, and engagement in Inovalon’s mission to transform healthcare. They will create and deliver proactive messaging and campaigns that motivate and inspire employees, attract future employees, and clearly communicate the company’s leadership position to customers, thought leaders, journalists, and the market. This role will lead all corporate communications efforts, including executive thought leadership platforms, external and internal communications, reputation, and crisis/issues management. Success will be measured through increasing media impressions, media engagement, and target audience awareness. Additionally, this role will drive all event marketing across the Inovalon enterprise, bringing our story to life for customers, investors, and employees through experiential marketing.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain an expert level of knowledge regarding products, services, capabilities, infrastructure, and operations of Employer and its affiliates, the marketplace, competition, strategic positioning, threats and direction to achieve optimal insight and success with respect to Employer’s (and those of its affiliates) products, services, capabilities, support, functionality requirements, and financial performance;</li> <li>Lead, drive, and ultimately be responsible for planning, implementation, execution, and successful achievement of a consistent communications strategy and positioning aligned with the corporate direction.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Build a strategic external communications plan that addresses goals, strategy, tactics and narrative/messaging for all Inovalon target audiences. Create a communications calendar aligning with Brand Marketing and Solutions Marketing to strategic drive messages to all audiences in a cohesive planful way;</li> <ul> <li>Build an internal communication strategy focused on engaging employees in Inovalon’s mission, vision, and values driving a connection to the ONE Inovalon strategy;</li> <li>Tracks, measures, and analyzes the impact of communications initiatives on Inovalon’s brand awareness and equity;</li> <li>Lead the creation of communications including press releases, paid articles, executive presentations, and white papers;</li> <li>Lead the planning and execution of all corporate events including but not limited to, Client Congress, Employee Engagement events, and conferences;</li> <li>Drive Inovalon’s relationship with industry analysts to create an understanding and awareness of our products and strategies.</li> <li>Innovate and challenge the status quo, simplifying Inovalon’s messaging, making it accessible and understandable to expand our addressable audience.</li> </ul> <li>Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;</li> <li>Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and</li> <li>Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 10+ years of relevant Corporate Communications experience;</li> <li>Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated experience leading, developing, and inspiring communications professionals;</li> <li>Deep appreciation for the critical role of effective communication in achieving business outcomes and skilled at quickly diagnosing business challenges and proactively articulating the role of communication in solving for business and client needs;</li> <li>Stellar written and oral communication skills, with the ability to grasp and translate complex and disparate ideas into a cohesive storyline with clear key messages, a natural storyteller;</li> <li>Presence to be viewed as an advisor to the C-suite, along with strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence;</li> <li>Fluent in use of digital communication mediums and multi-channel strategies;</li> <li>Egoless collaborator who works effectively in a matrixed environment and is comfortable counting on peers to work collectively toward mutual success;</li> <li>Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and ability to deliver on tight deadlines; and</li> <li>Strong collaborator with the ability to work cross-functionally both within the marketing department as well as sales and product.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BA/BS in marketing or related field</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time);</li> <li>Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;</li> <li>Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;</li> <li>Subject to inside environmental conditions; and</li> <li>Up to 25% travel expected for the position.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>By embracing diversity, equity and inclusion we enhance our work environment and drive business success.
