Senior Data & Reporting Analyst

<p>The Senior Data &amp; Reporting Analyst is responsible for developing and managing critical business metrics, reports, and dashboards that provide insight and inform business strategies across the technology organization, including software engineering, IT, and security. This person will work closely with technology leadership teams to identify reporting and metrics needs and develop and execute on solutions. Within Technology Operations, this role will assume oversite of data and reporting processes, which includes streamlining data gathering processes through automations, managing data models, and developing first-class reports and dashboards. The Senior Business Analyst will become a go-to resource and subject matter expert for technology metrics and business report development.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develops critical business reports and dashboards that provide insights to business leaders across the technology organization, including software engineering, IT, and security;</li> <li>Works with stakeholders across the technology organization to identify and document reporting requirements and develops automated and ad-hoc reports and dashboards to support these requirements;</li> <li>Manages and governs routine business data and data models used for critical business metrics;</li> <li>Offers data and reporting solutions and capabilities to enable self-service reporting and analysis through BI;</li> <li>Presents and explains reports and results to managers and senior leaders;</li> <li>Automates and scales existing data analytics and routine metrics to streamline reporting processes;</li> <li>Identifies opportunities to optimize and re-invent reporting processes to create value-driven ways of synthesizing data into actionable information;</li> <li>Regularly evaluates metrics and reporting effectiveness implementing change to evolve the reporting capabilities;</li> <li>Assists with developing and implementing a metrics and reporting roadmap to deliver comprehensive management intelligence for the technology organization;</li> <li>Provides ad-hoc technical analysis for managers and leaders to achieve their business objects;</li> <li>Manages and assists with projects associated with operational improvement;</li> <li>Serves as the go-to resource and subject matter export for report development and analysis;</li> <li>Adheres to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and</li> <li>Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of experience in data analysis as a business analyst or related role;</li> <li>2-3 years of report development experience with business intelligence tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI (Power BI preferred);</li> <li>Expert Excel and PowerPoint skills;</li> <li>Experience with Microsoft suite of products (Power Automate, SharePoint, VSTS, Power BI);</li> <li>Advanced competency in understanding business needs of stakeholders and translating needs into technical requirements;</li> <li>Proficient in creating and documenting business processes;</li> <li>Project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects to meeting objectives and deadlines;</li> <li>Process oriented, attention to detail that enables them to solve problems independently while collaborating across the organization;</li> <li>Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems/processes;</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills;</li> <li>Experience in fast-paced and rapidly growing environment;</li> <li>Strong organization, time management, and task prioritization skills;</li> <li>Proactive and capitalizes on opportunities for change that enhances business processes;</li> <li>Comfort level with ambiguity and ability to seek solutions; and</li> <li>Familiarity with relational databases and SQL language a plus.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS or equivalent work experience preferably in business, finance, mathematics, statistics, or technology.</li> </ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>5 to 7 years of experience in data analysis as a business analyst or related role;</li> <li>2-3 years of report development experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI (Power BI preferred);</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time);</li> <li>Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;</li> <li>Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;</li> <li>Subject to inside environmental conditions; and</li> <li>Travel for this position will include up to 10%.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>By embracing diversity, equity and inclusion we enhance our work environment and drive business success.
