Data License Director - Sr. AE for Data Licensing & Insights

If this sounds like the kind of company you’d like to work with, we’d love to meet with you!</p> <p>The Data License Director will sell healthcare data licenses and data-related offerings to life sciences companies and other targeted third parties.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and document a territory strategy focused on data licensing;</li> <li>Consistently attain and exceed quarterly sales quotas;</li> <li>Lead all prospecting/lead generation, qualification and sales activities in a defined territory (geography and/or assigned named accounts or healthcare vertical) from initial prospect identification through to signed contracts;</li> <li>Utilize consultative selling techniques to develop relationships and close sales within targeted potential customers;</li> <li>Navigate complex organizations to find decision makers and other key stakeholders;</li> <li>Negotiate contractual agreements with multiple decision makers;</li> <li>Develop and deploy sales strategies and initiatives with targeted customers;</li> <li>Ongoing business expansion (i.e. cross-sell and up-sell);</li> <li>Coordinate with all resources and personnel necessary to ultimately achieve (and ideally exceed) Company targets for territory market penetration and contractual requirements of Company data licensing;</li> <li>Participate with product and business development leadership in the strategic development of initiatives to identify product and system enhancements which may improve client appeal and overall Company business function, industry reputation, and financial performance;</li> <li>Owns the coordination of the “virtual Inovalon sales team” to ensure coordinated market approach and coverage model;</li> <li>Track and report data sales opportunities, and sales activity including accurate and timely documentation of correspondence, phone calls, sales stages and opportunity booking values;</li> <li>Develop strategies and best practices through participation in team meetings and other direct contributions. Actively works to educate others on potential problems and resolutions. Responsible for sharing information and best practices with others;</li> <li>Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;</li> <li>Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position;</li> <li>Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company;</li> <li>Uphold responsibilities relative to the separation of duties for applicable processes and procedures within your job function; and</li> <li>We reserve the right to change this job description from time to time as business needs dictate and will provide notice of such.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 7 years’ experience selling data analytics or healthcare data analytics products and/or services to the life sciences industry;</li> <li>Minimum 7 years’ experience selling healthcare data;</li> <li>An aptitude for managing a complex, consultative sales process including lead generation, proposal development, oral presentations and contract negotiation for rapidly evolving data licensing opportunities in healthcare;</li> <li>Track record of successfully establishing and managing Director, VP and C-Suite client relationships at life sciences, pharma or other healthcare organizations;</li> <li>Aptitude for managing a complex, consultative sales process including lead generation, proposal development, oral presentations and contract negotiation for rapidly evolving data licensing opportunities in healthcare;</li> <li>Experience in or knowledge of the healthcare industry, especially life sciences, pharma or data vendor is a plus;</li> <li>Management consulting or consultative sales process experience is preferred;</li> <li>Experience with promotions and/or quota achievement in a matrix management environment is preferred; and</li> <li>Experience working with and influence senior business executives is preferred.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>By embracing diversity, equity and inclusion we enhance our work environment and drive business success.
