A targeted literature review of real-world data (2004-2016) assessed health disparities in historically marginalized populations with lung cancer. The interplay of social determinants of health inclusive of sex, rurality, social support, socioeconomic status, education level, and insurance type with race and ethnicity were reviewed. Health inequities were observed across the entire clinical spectrum of lung cancer care ─screening, diagnosis, genetic mutation testing, treatment options, and survival outcomes.
