History of Inovalon

Inovalon launched a clinical quality outcomes measurement solution – the foundation of what is now known as Converged Quality – designed to aggregate data for health plans reporting to the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal government, and various state departments of health.

Inovalon’s Medical Outcomes Research for Effectiveness and Economics Registry (MORE² Registry^®) was developed and rapidly grew to become one of the nation’s largest and deepest primary source healthcare datasets. The analytical strength of Inovalon’s systems expanded significantly and received strong market adoption, distinguishing the Company as a leader in healthcare data analytics.

ABILITY Network, which is now part of  Inovalon’s Provider business, acquires IVANS, a web-based Medicare service vendor.

Inovalon enters the specialty pharmacy space with the acquisition of Creehan & Company, the foundation of today’s ScriptMed^® solution suite. Our Pharmacy solutions support end-to-end operations, patient care, clinical decision-making, business intelligence, and analytics across specialty and infusion workflows.

Inovalon enters the provider market across ambulatory, acute, and post-acute care with the acquisition of ABILITY Network – now Inovalon’s Provider business. Our provider solutions help healthcare organizations strengthen revenue performance, workforce operations, and clinical decision-making across thousands of sites of care in the U.S.

Inovalon acquires VigiLanz, a leading clinical surveillance and patient safety software and data company, expanding Inovalon’s Provider and Life Sciences solution portfolios, customer base, and the Company’s clinical data connectivity.
