Laurence Gozalo, Ph.D., MBA

Laurence Gozalo, Ph.D., MBA, is a Principal Healthcare Data Analytics Specialist with Inovalon, leveraging real-world data (RWD) to support healthcare and life sciences clients in their mission to improve costs, treatments, and quality of care. Laurence has more than 15 years of experience in scientific computation, numerical simulation, mobile health technologies, and data science and analytics.   

Prior to joining Inovalon, Laurence was a Senior Scientist with Genesis Research Group (GR). At GR, Laurence utilized a variety of electronic health record (EHR) databases along with healthcare claim databases related to infectious disease research. In addition, Laurence served as the lead analyst for a multiyear international (American and European) chart review project. Prior to GR, Laurence worked for STATinMED Research as a Senior Statistical Analyst. Before that, they served as an Economist at the Analysis Group, Inc. in their Health Economics and Outcomes Research Practice working in diverse medical areas such as glucocorticoids related complications, oncology, and contraceptives that led to multiple publications in peer reviewed journals.  

Laurence holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science from Bordeaux I University (France), both in Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computation, and a Master of Business Administration from MIT Sloan, School of Management.
